Vol verbazing ben ik soms als ik zie dat er zich op het doek iets voltrekt, waar ik part èn deel aan heb, maar niet wist dat het mij toebehoorde.
En in dit geval levert het ook nog een schilderij op waar ik wel mee kan leven.

Sometimes I am astonished by what I see emerging on the canvas, in which I share an obvious role, but have no sense of it pertaining to me.
Nevertheless in this instance a painting was created that I can live with.
