‘Berlin blue’ (pigment) is sometimes also called ‘Pruisisch blue’. A very dark blue which in combination with the medium (yolk and lineseed oil) give a brilliant deep color, especially over white. The brush stroke (not the brush on the image!) has a fantastic footprint.
